If a disc cannot be read reliably, we will explain the situation and discuss options before proceeding.
Heavily damaged or unreadable discs may not transfer successfully. Deep scratches, cracks, or manufacturing defects can limit what can be recovered. We will contact you if we cannot read a disc to a usable standard.
Output quality depends on how the DVD was originally authored and encoded. We extract the best result possible from your disc; we cannot improve beyond the quality stored on the DVD itself. Commercial titles may be copy-protected and are generally not eligible for this service – we focus on personal and home-produced content.
