A colourful community event
Organised by Hipnotize, the evening combined Middle Eastern dance with a winter theme. For Artisan Media it was a first close-up look at this style of performance and a reminder of how varied community event work can be.
Performers from around the country
The programme included dancers and groups from several studios as well as the Manawataki Drummers with Robert Koffie Fugah, alongside other performances.
Preserving local events
Events like this are a useful example of why community videography matters: the finished recording becomes part of the history of the organisers, performers and local arts community.
