1. Watch complete examples, not only trailers
Short highlight clips are useful, but a longer example tells you much more about consistency, audio, camera coverage and pacing. Look for clear vows and speeches as well as attractive pictures.
2. Compare what the package actually includes
Check the hours of coverage, number of cameras or operators, the type of final videos supplied, expected delivery method and any optional extras. A cheaper package can be poor value if the coverage you really want is missing.
3. Read feedback from previous couples
Reviews can reveal how a videographer communicates, works alongside photographers and venues, handles the day itself and follows through after the wedding.
4. Talk about the style you want
Some couples prefer a documentary record while others want a more cinematic edit. Discuss important people, music, specific moments and anything unusual about the day before you book.
5. Make sure you are comfortable with the person
Your videographer will be present through significant parts of the day. A conversation before booking helps you judge whether their manner, communication and working style fit you and your plans.
