What are the three game modes?
Classic Charades — act out the word without speaking. One Word Only — give single-word clues to help the guesser. Word Association — write clues and solve together. Each mode has in-app rules you can open anytime.
What’s the difference between free and Pro?
The game, timer, sounds, settings, and rules are fully available for free. Free includes two word categories (Nouns and Animals). Pro unlocks all 22 categories (movies, sports, food, and more). Only the number of selectable categories changes — nothing else is paywalled.
Does the app need the internet?
No. One Word Only works offline for gameplay. You can play anywhere without Wi‑Fi or mobile data.
How do I use the timer?
Open Settings to set an optional timer with a duration in seconds or minutes. You’ll get timer-end sounds (and optional button sounds) so everyone knows when time is up.
Can I enter a promo code?
Yes. Free users can enter a promo code in Settings to unlock Pro category access when a code is available.
Are there ads?
One Word Only does not show third‑party ads. Optional in-app purchases unlock additional word categories; gameplay, timer, and settings are not ad-supported.
