All Blacks Labour Weekend 2016
Go All Blacks!

THE FIRST EVENT this Labour Weekend, happening at Eden Park in Auckland (NZ) on Saturday night, is the third test match for the Bledisloe Cup between New Zealand and Australia. New Zealand’s All Blacks have done an outstanding job this season and I expect the result tonight should continue that record. The Wallabies have had a mixed season – disappointing to most Aussies, I’m sure!

Some quick stats about the Bledisloe Cup…
New Zealand has won it 44 times. Australia has won it 12 times. The longest time held by Australia was 5 years (1998–2002 = 5 Titles). The longest time held by New Zealand was 28 years (1951–1978 = 12 Titles). Most titles in a row by New Zealand: (2003–2016) (14 Titles)

One of our past camera operators, Adam (now working in Auckland for NZ Live), is working the event (exciting!).
Details for this event are found here: www.allblacks.com/Fixtures/EventDetails/4075

THE SECOND EVENT this Labour Weekend is the 2016 NABBA New Zealand National
Bodybuilding Championships taking place in Napier (NZ). If you are in Napier, pop along to the Napier Municipal Theatre on Sat 22nd for the Athlete Check-In and Sun 23rd for the Show!

Our good friend Roger, a local Personal Trainer, had a successful comp in Wellington a few weeks ago and is now competing in the Nationals. GOOD LUCK ROGER!!!! You have worked really hard to get there. Enjoy the experience!

speedway 2016
PN Speedway

THE THIRD EVENT this Labour Weekend is pretty exciting for local speedway fans… The 2016-2017 Speedway season kicks off at Arena Manawatu in Palmerston North (NZ).
For the second season running, we are contracting ourselves out to Chris at VideoHub to assist with the production of the Speedway season. Who knows how we will be used this season… So far, we know we will be camera operating and running audio (LOL – not at the same time!). That should keep us busy and provide us ongoing opportunities to develop our skills. As always, just happy to be of use and be involved!
