GARETH & CHARLOTTE were married in St John the Evangelist Church in Feilding, New Zealand on 12 February 2016. Artisan Media was present to capture their ceremony and reception.
The wedding ceremony was a great mix of humour and formality. Under her wedding dress, Charlotte wore a pair of purple Chuck Taylors, to match her hair! The guys all wore black Chuck Taylors! Restored Ford Mustangs were their transport of choice.
The celebrant, Reverend David van Oeveren, offered words of wisdom to the couple as they exchanged vows and promises.
St John’s Church is a quaint, traditional venue that offers lovely native timber surrounds. The challenge for filming is the layout of the front/stage area. We used four video cameras for the wedding ceremony – one at the entrance of the aisle, one looking across the girls towards the guys, one looking across the guys towards the girls, and one right up the front looking back towards the bride/groom and guests.
The wedding reception involved three video cameras, all tripod-mounted. These were placed at locations that allowed guests to see everything while allowing us to capture the desired footage.
